  1. Adult Pickleball Open Play

    July 2, 2019, 9:00 AM - 11:30 AM @ San Marcos Activity Center Gym

    We have extended the hours for Adult Pickleball Open Play! It is now offered on Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 9:00 AM– 12:00 Noon and 9:00 – 11:30 AM on Fridays, at the San Marcos Activity Center. Pickleball is free for Activity Center members. Nonmembers will be charged the daily use rate of $3.00 for residents and $4.00 for nonresidents. Paddles and balls are available for those who do not have their own. If you would like to learn more about the sport, you are welcome to attend a session to observe and give it a try, free of charge.   1. Discovery Camp - Texas Temps Week

    July 1, 2019, 7:30 AM - July 5, 2019, 5:30 PM @ Dunbar Recreation Center

    Come experience an adventure this summer with the City of San Marcos Discovery Camp! The Parks and Recreation Department is offering 9 themed weeks of exploring, adventure, and discovery for campers ages 5 to 10. Campers will have the chance to be outside, do experiments, build things, get messy, work as a team, develop leadership skills, and have fun! Lunch is provided by SMCISD. One field trip to various locations, two trips to the San Marcos Discovery Center, and a trip to the Rio Vista pool each week are included in camp fees. (NO CAMP ON JULY 4th) Registration for Residents will begin on April 2nd and for Non-Residents April 23rd of 2018.

  2. Summer Fun Week 4

    July 1, 2019, 7:30 AM - July 5, 2019, 5:30 PM

    Summer Fun is an 8 week long program (with a one week break between) hosted by the City of San Marcos Parks and Recreation Department for kids ages 7-14 (they can be 6 if they have completed the first grade). SMCISD school sites’ TBD. Camp runs from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Breakfast and lunch are provided by SMCISD and one field trip a week is included in camp fees. Field trips are to the Rio Vista Pool, Starplex Movie Theatre, and Sunset Bowling Lanes. (NO CAMP ON JULY 4th) Registration for residents is $32/week and begins on April 1. Registration for non-residents is $50/week and begins on April 22.
