  1. Adult Pickleball Open Play

    July 11, 2019, 9:00 AM - 11:30 AM @ San Marcos Activity Center Gym

    We have extended the hours for Adult Pickleball Open Play! It is now offered on Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 9:00 AM– 12:00 Noon and 9:00 – 11:30 AM on Fridays, at the San Marcos Activity Center. Pickleball is free for Activity Center members. Nonmembers will be charged the daily use rate of $3.00 for residents and $4.00 for nonresidents. Paddles and balls are available for those who do not have their own. If you would like to learn more about the sport, you are welcome to attend a session to observe and give it a try, free of charge.     Come have your blood pressure and pulse checked FREE! Everyone needs to keep up with this important information! Angels for Elders / Wimberley Home Health is hosting this FREE blood pressure clinic at the Activity Center before Bingo. The Clinic will be from 1:00-2:00 PM in the at the Activity Center.     Adults wanting to prepare for the GED exam come register for our free classes. Classes meet Monday through Thursday at 9:00 a.m. and Monday and Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. Must have attended Part 1 on July 9.

  1. Camp Quest 1

    July 8, 2019, 7:30 AM - July 12, 2019, 5:30 PM @ Rec Hall

    Camp Quest is a week full of field trips and fun. City of San Marcos Parks and Recreation Department offers this camp for ages 7-14 (they can be 6 if they have completed the first grade). This camp cost $115 for residents and $130 for non-residents, this includes lunch and a various field trip each day. Registration begins on April 1st for residents and April 22nd for non-residents. Camp runs from 7:30 AM-5:30 PM, Mon-Fri at the Recreation Hall in City Park. Lunches are provided by SMCISD. One field trip each day is included in camp fees.

  2. Discovery Camp - Lights Camera Action Week

    July 8, 2019, 7:30 AM - July 12, 2019, 5:30 PM @ Dunbar Recreation Center

    Come experience an adventure this summer with the City of San Marcos Discovery Camp! The Parks and Recreation Department is offering 9 themed weeks of exploring, adventure, and discovery for campers ages 5 to 10. Campers will have the chance to be outside, do experiments, build things, get messy, work as a team, develop leadership skills, and have fun! Lunch is provided by SMCISD. One field trip to various locations, two trips to the San Marcos Discovery Center, and a trip to the Rio Vista pool each week are included in camp fees. (NO CAMP ON JULY 4th) Registration for Residents will begin on April 2nd and for Non-Residents April 23rd of 2018.
