The San Marcos Fire Department would like to extend an invitation to you and your family on Tuesday, September 11, 2018, 8:45am at San Marcos City Hall, 630 East Hopkins Street. It is the 17th anniversary since the terrorist attack on our country.
The program will open with a welcome from City Manager, Bert Lumbreras, Mayor John Thomaides will follow with a proclamation and introduce guest speaker, Retired Colonel Michael Kinslow.
This year’s guest speaker will be retired Air Force Colonel Michael Kinslow, a survivor of the Sept. 11, 2001 attack on the Pentagon.
Over a career in the Air Force spanning almost 34 years, Kinslow was qualified in strategic missile weapons systems and defense satellite communications systems; completed staff tours in two major commands and the Air Staff; and has earned the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star, and Meritorious Service Medal with six oak leaf clusters.
