Assistant Chief Rick Rowell from the San Marcos Fire Department along with Administrative Assistant Senior Melinda Villarreal and Firefighters Katie Kirk-Velez, Miles Maynor, and Captain Brian Quackenbush received $1000.00 dollar check on April 19, 2018 from Sam’s Club Membership Lead, Brittney Segner, Grocery Compliance Manager, Denise Gallardo, and Terri Cruz, Membership Coordinator. Funds will be used towards Open House during Fire Prevention Month held on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Fire Station #5 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. “We are very grateful for Sam’s Club generosity and graciously contributing to our annual event”, said Assistant Chief Rowell.
Come join the fire department’s free event the first Saturday in October to learn about fire safety with interactive events and demonstrations with delicious grilled hotdogs by firefighters!
