[ARCHIVED] Brushy Waste Drop-Off & Community Clean-Up Saturday

Map to brush drop-off location behind San Marcos Animal Shelter

The City of San Marcos will host a brushy waste drop-off and community clean-up for residential garbage and recycling service customers on Saturday, July 11 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 750 River Road.

Residents driving to the drop-off will take the San Marcos Animal Shelter entrance and follow the signs.

Acceptable green waste includes tree/brush trimmings, leaves and grass clippings. Brush containing barbed wire or other metals will not be accepted. Additionally, lumber will not be accepted.

Residents are invited to collect mulch at the site, based on availability.

In addition to the brushy waste drop-off, residents can bring bulk items for disposal as part of the community clean-up. Allowed items include up to five passenger tires, appliances, hazardous household waste and scrap metal.

This service is open only to residential solid waste customers in San Marcos. All attendees are required to wear a mask and maintain six feet of social distance from staff and other customers.
