As emblems of institutional racism in America, segregated cemeteries expose an uncomfortable collective history. These cemeteries have now become targeted for erasure. This project, presented by historian T. Jane Heffelfinger, documents and recognizes the heroism, sacrifice, and history of African American soldiers and veterans interred in the San Marcos-Blanco Cemetery.
