The City of San Marcos is inviting community members to utilize Community Conversation Toolkits to learn more about the housing needs in San Marcos and strategies to address those needs. Community members can also provide input for consideration by the Housing Task Force by taking the survey below. These toolkits were used throughout the duration of the project and are meant to be visual and easy to read documents to spark conversation about housing.
Toolkit #2: Exploring The Strategic Housing Action Plan
This second Community Conversation Toolkit provides an overview of draft strategies created by the Workforce Housing Task Force to help address our housing challenges. We encourage the community to explore this toolkit. In addition, residents can schedule a time to participate in collaborative round-table discussion using this toolkit that will last approximately 15 - 20 minutes. Community Conversations can be hosted by City Staff and/or a Housing Task Force Member.
Toolkit #1: Exploring The Housing Needs Assessment
The first Community Conversation Toolkit was released in June, 2019 and city staff presented this toolkit to organizations throughout the community. This toolkit provides a summary of the Housing Needs Assessment and provides an overview of housing needs in San Marcos by defining and identifying our current challenges. You can view this toolkit by clicking on the image to the left or you can download and print the toolkit.
