Students who attend Miller Middle School are invited to participate in this FREEafter school program. Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4-6 PM beginning March 1st, 2022 and concluding April 7th, 2022 (this program will not meet the week of spring break March 14-18). Miller students will take a bus after school to the Meadows center, and be provided with outdoor education activities by Texas State University Recreation Administration students. Transportation home will be provided if you lie within Miller Middle schools regular bus routes.
Youth services is bringing back the Daddy Daughter Dance this year with a new spin! Me and My Guy welcomes young ladies (or gents) to come out for a night of fun with your favorite guy! Fathers and father figures are welcome to come enjoy a night of dancing, snacks, activities, and more on February 4th from 6:30-9:00 at the San Marcos Rec Hall. Tickets are on sale for $5.00 per person now until February 1st, and February 1st-4th for $10.00 per person. Tickets will NOT be available at the door. There will be limited capacity at this event, and masks are recommended. Reserve your spot while supplies last!
The City of San Marcos Parks and Recreation Department and Community Action, Inc. are partnering to bring you Tales on the Trails! Tales on the Trails will be set up along the Virginia Witte Way Trail at Schulle Canyon Natural Area. Each month we will feature a new story for you follow along with as you enjoy the trail. December's featured story is All Year Roundby Susan B. Katz.You and your family are invited to take a self-guided tour along the ½ mile accessible trail located at 100 Ridgewood beginning September 1st. Stay tuned for details on next month’s story!
