  1. Adult Pickleball Open Play

    April 25, 2019, 9:00 AM - 11:30 AM @ San Marcos Activity Center Gym

    We have extended the hours for Adult Pickleball Open Play! It is now offered on Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 9:00 AM– 12:00 Noon and 9:00 – 11:30 AM on Fridays, at the San Marcos Activity Center. Pickleball is free for Activity Center members. Nonmembers will be charged the daily use rate of $3.00 for residents and $4.00 for nonresidents. Paddles and balls are available for those who do not have their own. If you would like to learn more about the sport, you are welcome to attend a session to observe and give it a try, free of charge.     Based on direction from the San Marcos City Council, City staff, regional shelter partners, and community partners are developing a plan to achieve a 90 percent live outcome rate at the San Marcos Regional Animal Shelter within five years. To help create this plan to save more lives at the shelter, we invite you to attend one of the three public meetings to share you ideas and feedback.

    This series will feature panel discussions with area physicians, possible shadowing/volunteer opportunities with local medical providers, mentorship, and access to college and medical school representatives. This program is aimed at high school and undergraduate students, but is open to all ages, including parents. Presented by Tia Macias from Miss Diversity of Medicine.
