San Marcos Regional Animal Shelter ‘Pets of the Week’

Cat of the Week:  Lettuce

Calico cat looking at camera

Lettuce is a beautiful two-year-old tortoiseshell girl! She came into our shelter unsocial and was posted as a “barn cat,” but has since warmed up and now loves to cuddle and make biscuits. Lettuce would do great in a calm and quiet home.

Dog of the Week: Coco

This 10-month-old Australian Kelpie is ready to play! Coco has a lot of energy and loves to run. She does great with other dogs and all people. Once she gets her energy out outside, she is a very sweet girl and even helps us in the front office from time to time greeting people as they come in! Coco would do great with any family.

All adoptions include the pet’s spay or neuter, kennel vaccinations, rabies vaccination, microchip and city license. For more information or to adopt one of our Pets of the Week, visit or contact Animal Services at (512) 805-2650.
