City Seeks Volunteers to Plant Trees in Children’s Park

The City of San Marcos is hosting a community tree planting event at Children’s Park on January 19th, from 10am - 12:30pm.

Twenty trees will be planted to help beautify and shade the area around the playground. Please bring your own water and wear appropriate clothing for working outdoors. Some tools will be provided, but participants are encouraged to bring their own shovels.

This tree planting opportunity is made possible by a CDBG grant to the community forestry program helping with trees and irrigation. You can register for this event at
