San Marcos Regional Animal Shelter ‘Pets of the Week’

Cat of the Week:  Rudolph

Rudolph 109813

Rudolph came to our shelter a little timid and shy, but has since warmed up and is proving to be a sweet little boy. Rudolph is one year old and has medium length black and white hair. He loves to be pet and is starting to feel comfortable with being held. Rudolph is looking for a family that will give him the time and attention he needs to grow comfortable, and we’re sure he will blossom.

Dog of the Week: Candice

If you are looking for a calm dog who loves to take naps on your lap, Candice is your girl. Candice is an eight month-old terrier with short grey and white hair. She weighs 25 pounds and is expected to stay small. When our volunteers go say hi to Candice, she lovingly lays right down on their laps. Candice would be a great addition to any family looking for a low-maintenance, high-affection pet.

The San Marcos Regional Animal Shelter is hosting its annual Home 4 the Holidays adoption special the entire month of December. All dogs and cars are adoptable for only $20. All adoptions include the pet’s spay or neuter, kennel vaccinations, rabies vaccination, microchip and city license. For more information or to adopt one of our Pets of the Week, visit www.sanmarcostx.gov/animaladoptions or contact Animal Services at (512) 805-2650.
