The program is open to boys and girls, ages 8 - 11. It will give your child a chance to interact with Fire Department staff and to make friends with positive role models. The mission of the camp is to instill camaraderie, servant-leadership, teamwork, self-confidence, and citizenship. Children will be introduced to the different facets of firefighting and the equipment used in daily operations by members of the fire department.
All children will receive a t-shirt and graduation certificate. Lunch, water, and snacks will be provided for the children. On Friday, there will be a pizza party, then a team building operation using skills learned during the camp, followed by an awards ceremony.
Camp dates are June 19 - 23 or July 24 - 28, 2017.
