CARTS Stops in Austin to Move During Construction
Beginning August 16, 2021, the stop located at Plaza Saltillo for CARTS Interurban 1510 and 1517 will temporarily move to E. Seventh and Comal Streets (far side stop). The detour will remain in place for the duration of the construction project.
As a reminder, Interurban 1517 service remains temporarily suspended through August 20 and will resume its regular schedule beginning Monday, August 23. Passengers interested in traveling to Austin from San Marcos may use the Interurban 1510 route, which continues on its regular schedule.
Interurban daily and monthly passes may be purchased using the free HopThru app available in Apple and Google stores. Passes are also available for purchase at Plaza Saltillo in Austin, 412 Comal Street, or the San Marcos Station, 338 S. Guadalupe Street. Drivers will not sell tickets. Local San Marcos “The Bus” routes will continue to be fare-free until further notice.
As required by federal law, all passengers must wear proper face coverings. Seating limitations will be enforced to encourage social distancing and seats will be offered on a first come, first served basis.

Paradas de CARTS en Austin serán movidas durante construcción
Empezando el 16 de agosto 2021, la parada localizada en la Plaza Saltillo para CARTS interurbano 1510 y 1517 será temporalmente movida a E. Seventh y Comal Streets. La desviación estará en lugar durante el proyecto de construcción.
Para recordarles, el servicio de interurbano 1517 seguirá suspendido temporalmente hasta el 20 de agosto y continuará su horario regular empezando el lunes 23 de agosto. Pasajeros interesados en viajar a Austin desde San Marcos pueden usar la ruta interurbana 1510, la cual seguirá con su horario regular.
Los pasajes mensuales y diarios pueden ser adquiridos usando la aplicación gratis HopThru app disponible en la tienda móvil de Apple y Google. Boletos también serán disponibles para comprar en la Plaza Saltillo en 412 Comal Street, Austin o en la estación de San Marcos en 338 S. Guadalupe Street. Los boletos no serán vendidos por conductores. Pasaje en “The Bus” local de San Marcos continuara siendo gratis hasta nuevo aviso.
Como requerido por ley federal, todos los pasajeros deben de usar cubre bocas apropiados. Se recomienda la practica de distanciamiento social y números de asiento serán ofrecidos en orden de llegada.
