Hays County Jail Dashboard

Data about the current and historical jail population, recent and monthly jail bookings, and the types of charges people are most frequently booked on.

Please view the dashboards with some limitations in mind:

  1. Due to the nature of crime-related data, finalized, quarterly numbers are always changing as cases close or records are expunged. Because of this, please allow a small error rate of missing or extra data.
  2. The San Marcos Police Department changed records management systems in August 2022, which may have impacted the consistency of logged data. Missing data or data attrition may be possible.
  3. Most relevant data for the following dashboards are housed in separate record management systems and servers. In the process of compiling this data, there may be "missing" or "duplicate data.”
