Rosanna Wisener started with the San Marcos Police Department in 1985 as a dispatcher. In 1991 she was promoted to Senior Emergency Communications Operator and promoted again in 1992 to Communications Supervisor over the 9-1-1 Division. In 1993, Mrs. Wisener was promoted to Records/Communications Manager and in 2013 was reclassified to her current position as Support Services Manager.
Mrs. Wisener currently serves as the chair for the CAPCOG 9-1-1 Task Force and is a member of APCO, NENA, TENA, and original chair for the Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) for the CAPCOG area. Mrs. Wisener serves on the San Marcos Police Department Training Advisory Board, CAD/RMS (Computer Aided Dispatch/Records Management System) Steering Committee, and has served on the Hays/Caldwell Women's Center Board of Directors.
Mrs. Wisener received "Employee of the Month Award" - City of San Marcos, October 1980 and is a graduate/alumni of Leadership San Marcos. Recipient of CAPCOG's 9-1-1 Lifetime Service Award presented by Senator Gonzalo Barrientos in 2006.
Mrs. Wisener has an Associates Degree in Science - Seminole Jr. College and a B.A.A.S. in Occupational Education from Southwest Texas State University - San Marcos
